Privacy Policy for TYR

Information Stored in TYR

TYR may store the following information locally on your device when you enter it manually or choose to sync it from supported health services:

• Workout and exercise logs
• Training routines and program data
• Cardio, strength, and flexibility records
• Nutrition logs, foods, meals, supplements, and interventions
• Body measurements and bodyweight
• Goals, notes, injury logs, and status logs
• Step data
• Sleep data
• Heart rate data
• Heart rate variability / HRV data
• Health and fitness trends calculated from your data

TYR does not collect financial information, contacts, messages, or precise location data.

Health Data

TYR may integrate with Apple Health, Health Connect, or other supported health sources if you grant permission.

Health data access is optional. You can choose which permissions to grant or deny through your device's health permission settings.

Depending on the permissions you enable, TYR may read and store health-related data such as steps, sleep, heart rate, HRV, and bodyweight. This data is used to help display your personal trends, training context, recovery context, and health summaries inside the app.

TYR does not sell or share your health data with advertisers or data brokers.

Camera and Barcode Scanning

TYR may use your device camera to scan food barcodes. Camera frames are used for barcode recognition and are not stored or uploaded by TYR unless explicitly stated in the app.

When you scan a barcode, TYR may send the barcode value to a food database provider to retrieve nutrition information.

How Your Data Is Used

Your data is used to:

• Display your workout and health history
• Analyze training progress
• Show nutrition, recovery, activity, and bodyweight trends
• Build personal baselines and summaries
• Generate user-controlled health and training reports
• Improve your personal fitness tracking experience inside the app

TYR's goal is to help you understand your own data. TYR does not use your data for advertising.

Reports and User-Controlled Exports

TYR can generate an AI-readable health and training report based on the data stored in the app.

This report is created for the user. You choose whether to copy, save, export, or share it, or whether to use the optional connected integration described below.

TYR does not upload this information merely because you use TYR. If you choose to export or share a report with an external AI tool, website, app, or person, you are choosing to provide that data to that third party.

Once you share your exported data with an external service, that service's own terms and privacy policy apply. TYR does not control how external AI services or other third parties process data that you choose to provide to them.

Optional ChatGPT Integration

The ChatGPT integration is optional and requires deliberate action and explicit authorization from you. Declining or disconnecting it does not prevent normal local use of TYR.

If you enable the integration, TYR prepares a privacy-scoped summary or context and asks you to upload or authorize it. TYR stores that uploaded context in TYR-controlled cloud infrastructure for your connected account. Depending on the information in your app and your choices, it may include health, wellness, fitness, exercise, goal, body, and nutrition information.

You separately connect TYR to ChatGPT. OpenAI's ChatGPT receives read-only access to the uploaded TYR context only after you approve the connection. The integration provides read-only access and no TYR write access. Its purpose is to let ChatGPT read the TYR context you authorized and provide wellness- and fitness-oriented responses.

The integration does not expose raw wearable samples, device identifiers, location data, individual meal records, barcodes, credentials, passwords, or unrelated internal identifiers.

Optional Account and Authentication Information

Normal local use does not require a connected account. If you choose an optional account or ChatGPT connection feature, TYR processes the authentication and account information needed to identify the connected account, maintain authorization, secure access, and let you revoke the connection. Authentication credentials and tokens are not included in the health-context summaries exposed to ChatGPT.

Owner review: Confirm and name the authentication provider, the exact account fields stored, and whether any account telemetry is collected before this policy is published as final.

Data Sharing

TYR does not sell or rent your personal data. TYR does not share your health data with advertisers or data brokers.

Local TYR use does not automatically upload your health, workout, or nutrition data to TYR cloud services. When you explicitly enable and authorize the optional ChatGPT integration, TYR shares the uploaded, privacy-scoped context with ChatGPT as described above.

OpenAI/ChatGPT is an external recipient and processes information under its own terms and privacy policies. This policy describes TYR's handling of the data and does not make claims about OpenAI's retention, deletion, or training practices.

Data Storage

For ordinary local use, TYR stores app data on your device. If you opt into the ChatGPT integration, TYR also stores the summaries or context you explicitly upload in TYR-controlled cloud infrastructure for your connected account.

The connected service exposes structured health-context summaries through authorized read-only tools. It does not expose an unrestricted database or raw wearable sample stream.

The public routine tool stores only routine names, day names and order, exercise identifiers, sets, reps, entered load, selected scopes and metric, collapsed state, and the selected comparison view in your browser's local storage. This state is not sent to TYR and can be cleared with the tool's reset control or through your browser settings.

If you use an AI browser agent with the public routine tool, routine information you ask it to access is shared with that agent through the page's browser tools. The agent can also make routine changes you request. This does not connect the routine tool to TYR's private health reports or store your routine on a TYR server. The agent provider's terms and privacy policy apply to information it receives.

Data Deletion

You can delete TYR data by using available in-app reset/delete options or by uninstalling the app.

You can also manage or revoke health permissions through your device's health permission settings.

For the optional ChatGPT integration, uploaded summaries remain in TYR-controlled cloud infrastructure until you delete them using the available controls or delete the relevant cloud/account data where that option is supported. You can also revoke ChatGPT's access. A revocation prevents further access through the TYR connection but does not control information already processed by ChatGPT; OpenAI's own terms and privacy policies apply to its handling of that information.

TYR does not state a fixed retention period because one has not been established in the public product materials. Revocation stops future tool access; deletion controls remove the connected TYR context as described in the product. Those actions do not control copies already processed by an external service.

Owner review: Confirm deletion completion timing, backup retention, inactive-account handling, and whether any server logs can contain account or request metadata.

Services Involved

TYR can read permitted data from Apple Health or Health Connect, look up a scanned barcode through a food database provider, and share an authorized connected summary with OpenAI/ChatGPT. Each external service processes information under its own terms and privacy policy.

Owner review: The repository does not identify the food database provider, authentication provider, or TYR cloud hosting provider by public legal name. Add those providers and their purposes after confirming the production configuration.

Wellness Limitations

TYR provides fitness and wellness context. Health and wearable data may be incomplete, delayed, or dependent on the device and permissions you use. Nutrition information may be incomplete or estimated.

TYR and the optional ChatGPT integration are not substitutes for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Seek advice from a qualified health professional about medical concerns.

Children's Privacy

TYR is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
